About PVSD

Plateau Valley School District 50 (PVSD) serves the towns of Collbran, Mesa, and Molina and the unincorporated areas of Plateau City. The population within the school district boundaries is approximately 1,400, with a steady enrollment between 250 and 300 students.

Our graduation rate is 90% within five years. Our FFA chapter has won numerous awards in the past five years, some of which were on the national level. Within the agriculture program, we offer a robotics team with focus on mechanical, electrical, programming, and business that students are eager to join.

PVSD formed in 1950 as a public school district and is one of three school districts within Mesa County, serving students residing in the northeast portion of the county. Grand Junction, the closest major city and airport, is located 40 miles from the school. The district’s boundary area is 802 square miles stretching through the Grand Mesa, including Powder Horn Ski Area and Vega State Park.
