About Me:

I joined the Plateau Valley School family in 1999. Go Cowboys!!! I live with my husband, son, and three fur babies right here in beautiful Plateau Valley. I love to spend time with my family, read (especially history related books), visit museums, watch movies & HGTV, teach math reading & writing, create, dream, problem solve, and play games.
My Credentials:

I did my undergraduate work at Mesa State College. (Yes that was a long time ago!) There I earned my AA in Early Childhood Education, my BA in Humanities, and completed my teaching license with endorsements in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While teaching, I completed my Master of Education: Arts in Education from Lesley University.

My Position at PV:

While teaching at PV I have taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade and Title I (grades K-5). I also coached Drama for 7 years and have run the time clock for many volleyball and basketball games throughout my career. I am the Media Center Director/Teacher Librarian for the PVSD Media Center, the teacher for Art Exploration for grades K-2, and teacher for Keyboarding Practice for grades 3-6. I am looking forward to increasing the digital presence of our Media Center and helping students foster a love of reading, helping our budding artists to find ways to express themselves and tell their stories through art, and helping intermediate grade elementary students build keyboarding fluency skills.

PV Pride:

I chose Plateau Valley for the small setting and fell in love with the community. This school is the place I want for my own children. (We are now looking forward to our fourth graduate.)
