The Plateau Valley School District does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX and its regulations, including 34 C.F.R. § 106.8, including in admission and employment. Inquiries about the application Title IX and its regulations to the District may be referred to the District's Title IX Coordinator, the Office for Civil Rights, or both. The District's grievance procedure for allegations of sex-based discrimination or harassment is AC-R-3. A complainant, or a parent or guardian with the legal right to act on the complainant's behalf, may file an oral or written complaint with the Title IX Coordinator. Retaliation against the complainant, respondent, or any person who filed a complaint or participated in an investigation, is prohibited. If a complaint is given to a District employee, the District employee will promptly forward all information regarding the complaint to the Title IX Coordinator. If any student, District parent, or party expresses a concern about conduct that may constitute sex discrimination under Title IX or its regulations, they should promptly contact the Title IX Coordinator. District employees who have information about conduct that reasonably may constitute sex discrimination under Title IX or its regulations must notify the Title IX Coordinator. The Title IX Coordinator will monitor the District's education program for barriers to reporting information about conduct that reasonably may constitute sex discrimination under Title IX or its regulations and take steps reasonably calculated to address such barriers.
