Over the past five years, we have been exploring options to address facility issues and needs. In 2019, a visioning team–composed of staff, students, parents, and community leaders–participated in a planning process to develop a facility plan. During this process, three options were studied and presented to the community, including a renovation, the addition of a secure vestibule and new VoAg space, or the demolition of all existing spaces prior to the 2006 addition and new construction to replace the aging facility.
The more than 100 community members who participated all voted to keep the 2006 addition and replace the remainder of the school facility – thus, ultimately, a PK-12 School Replacement. The master plan, which included the school replacement, was approved by the Board of Education in January 2020.
